Ranger PHEV

The Ranger Plug-in Hybrid pickup offers a best-of-both-worlds solution, combining zero-tailpipe emission driving capability with Ranger’s adventure-ready versatility and work-ready dependability.

A 2.3-litre Ford EcoBoost petrol engine and new Modular Hybrid Transmission with integrated e-motor, as well as a traction battery packaged between specially-engineered frame rails, deliver up to 690 Nm of torque – more than any other Ranger – and 279 PS, which is more power than Ranger V6 turbodiesel models offer.

Ranger PHEV’s targeted pure-electric driving range of more than 45 kilometres opens new possibilities for business owners in growing numbers of towns and cities with low-emission zones. Different drive modes enable the driver to choose how best to deploy and recapture electric power to suit their needs.

Ranger’s proven four-wheel drive off-road capability is retained, as is a targeted payload up to one tonne. A 3,500 kg maximum braked towing capacity is the same as the rest of the Ranger line-up. A new high-output Pro Power Onboard offers up to 6.9 kW of exportable power for equipment on worksites or campsites, as well as the standard 2.3 kW system.

In addition to the Wildtrak and XLT series, Ford Pro is introducing the new model as a PHEV-exclusive Stormtrak launch edition. The limited-run vehicle’s unique Stormtrak design features include a new Chill Grey paint colour, the practical Flexible Rack System, and a luxurious cabin with unique finishes.
